Position Description

With guidance from the Program Manager, plan, organize, direct, and control projects, and team members, to accomplish program goals within cost and schedule guidelines.  May provide cost, deliverables and schedule support for multiple project programs or assume full management responsibility for a single low complexity project.

Essential Functions

  • Under guidance from the Program Manager, manages many of the activities of customer projects.
  • Reviews Statements of Work for accuracy, completeness, and standardization.
  • Establishes, maintains and reviews project cost/schedule baselines.
  • Reviews invoices for accuracy and appropriateness and evaluates cost variances
  • Maintains project schedules.
  • Provides  facilitation and interface among supported customers, vendors and users.
  • Tracks project progress and deliverables to ensure timely submission.
  • Prepares technical and financial reports for Program Manager approval and submission.
  • Evaluates Project Status Reports (PSRs) and determines management actions required execute the project as planned.
  • Anticipates, evaluates and proposes risk mitigation solutions.
  • Prepares and presents project reports at program reviews and conferences.
  • Performs review of financial data and entry of information in support of reporting requirements.
  • Provides direct support to the client’s program office when directed by the Program Manager.
  • Provides technical expertise to the business unit and technical management of projects.
  • Plans, convenes, and facilitates project team meetings, either on-site or virtual.  

Additional Responsibilities

Interacts daily with Business Unit Manager, Program Manager, and Contracts personnel, senior technical personnel, and ATI management. 
Performs other duties as assigned by the program and business unit managers.  


Bachelor's Degree and five or more related years of experience or equivalent combination of experience and training or a Master's degree and three or more year's related experience or equivalent combination of experience and training.
Minimum of three or more year’s direct experience in the operation, planning and performance of collaborative programs and projects.
Project and process management experience, as well as prior experience in proposal planning and preparation, desired.  PMP Certification preferred.
Demonstrated experience as a presenter, technical report writer, meeting planner and facilitator.
Experience with government programs desirable.
Independent self-directed worker, team player, and problem solver
Excellent communication skills, including presentations, technical reports, meeting management and work group management.
Prior experience working in multi-organizational teams.
Strong computer skills including advanced Excel skills, MS Office Suite, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and MS Project
Ability to travel to conferences and meetings, including some weekends.
